If you're a girl that:
Then joining Troop 22 and Scouts BSA
is an easy four step process that won't hurt a bit!
The best first step is to join us
at one of our upcoming Troop meetings.
and learn more about us, our program and activities,
and what it means to be a Scout.
We do require that at least one of her parents or guardians
attend with her to our meetings.
We typically meet on Sunday afternoons at 5:30 pm,
at Grace United Methodist Church,
located at 521 Caruthers Ave. in Cape Girardeau.
While you're at the meeting, we'll explain all about Troop 22 --
what our mission and guiding principles are,
all the fun activities that we do,
and everything that you'll learn (both adults and girls!)
We'll also let you know everything you'll need to know
about uniforms, rank advancement,
personal equipment you'll need to buy
(and what you WON'T need to buy!),
the costs involved, as well as what we'll need you to do to make sure
that your girl gets the most out of her Scouting experience!
We'll also be able to answer just about any questions you may have
(and if we don't, we know someone who does!)
We'll have all the paperwork needed to sign up
both Scouts and adult leaders and volunteers with us at the meetings. (If you want to do it online, click here to get started.) And then...
There's no probationary or waiting period - once you're signed up, you're a full-fledged member of the troop,
ready for years of adventure, excitement and learning,
as well as a part of the nation's leading program
of youth character development
and values-based leadership training.
If you have any questions, that's ok!
